One of the oldest Jogo do Pau Schools, from the region of Lisbon.
The school of Ateneu Comercial de Lisboa, was a meeting point of the Lisbon’s Masters of Jogo do Pau.
Part of the technique was called the “sarilhos”. Defensive movements that would allow the athelete to practice, body deslocation and staff handle.

This chapter aims to teach one of the holding guard positions, "Guarda de espera alta à ponta do pau na posição esquerda" (for athletes with the dominant right hand).
Being the opposite movement to the previous one, "Sair" works in the same way.
It is common in combat to use the type of movement that is quickest and that most facilitates the rotation of each attack or places the body in the most appropriate defensive position. For that, we have to include two more movements: Avançar and Sair.
Just like the previous module, this exercise intends to increase the efficiency of your attack by using a fixed target.
